About this skill
Guizang Social Card makes the image sets that Chinese social platforms run on: Xiaohongshu (RedNote) carousels, the pair of covers a WeChat official account needs for every article — a wide 21:9 header and a square 1:1 share card — and Live Photo motion cards. It can work from an article, a set of notes, screenshots, your photos or a video you shot.
Unlike most skills in this directory, it does not ask an image model to paint the cards. Instead it lays each card out as a single HTML file and renders it to PNG with Playwright, the browser-automation tool. That approach has real advantages for text-heavy social content: typography is exact, Chinese characters are always correct, layouts are reproducible, and editing a line of copy means re-rendering in seconds rather than regenerating an image and hoping.
There are two visual systems to choose from. “Editorial” is restrained and magazine-like, with generous margins and calm type. “Swiss” is grid-driven and more graphic. Between them the skill offers 28 layout skeletons and 10 theme presets. A validator script checks each card for text overflowing its box, font sizes above the platform’s comfortable maximum and collisions between content and the footer, so problems are caught before you post.
If you do not have images, the skill can source openly licensed photographs from public libraries and records every source in a SOURCES.md file, which keeps attribution honest. For video, it produces motion cards as a JPG and MOV pair and packages them in the format iPhones use for Live Photos.
The skill needs Node and Playwright to render. It is published under the AGPL-3.0, a copyleft licence: you are free to use and modify it, but distributing a modified version, or running it as a service for others, obliges you to share your changes under the same licence. It installs with the skills CLI or by cloning into your Claude Code skills folder.
