About this skill

Baoyu Cover Image makes the header image for a blog post or newsletter. It describes each cover along five dimensions: the type (hero, conceptual, typographic, metaphor, scene or minimal), one of eleven palettes, a rendering technique such as flat vector, hand-drawn, painterly, pixel, chalk or screen print, how much text appears, and the mood.

Given a Markdown article, it picks those dimensions automatically, or you can set them with flags or with older named presets such as blueprint. It supports the wide 2.35:1 format used by WeChat headers, 16:9 and square, plus a mode with no title at all. Like its siblings in the baoyu collection, it renders through Codex’s image tool or through the shared multi-provider backend, and it is commonly chained with the article illustrator and a WeChat publishing skill.

An article cover image at 2.35:1, 16:9 or 1:1.

Before you install: Outside Codex, an image API key in ~/.baoyu-skills/.env.
