About this skill
Pixel Style Poster is about bitmap printing, not video-game sprites. It produces 3:4 editorial posters in which one large subject — often a flower, a fruit or an insect — is rendered as a fine dot matrix, with the headline set close to it and small captions scattered around the edges in a restrained palette.
Variants include soft colour-wash backgrounds with reverse halftone, layouts led by the title, and quieter compositions where the type shrinks to microtype. You give it a subject, a phrase, a mood or a brief, and it returns the generated poster together with the final prompt and the recipe it chose, plus a short note. The repository is small — seven files — but the rules are specific enough to keep a series of posters visually consistent.

Pixel Style Poster Skill
A Codex skill for generating 3:4 editorial bitmap poster prompts and matching raster images.
The skill creates posters with:
- large fine dot-matrix subjects
- optional title-led or quiet microtype layouts
- close subject-text typography
- small surrounding captions and labels
- soft colored-wash reverse-halftone variants
- restrained color systems
- low-resolution print texture
This is not retro game pixel art. The style is closer to fine bitmap editorial posters, halftone print studies, botanical bitmap posters, and poetic type-led image layouts.
