About this skill
Baoyu Article Illustrator reads the structure of a Markdown article, works out which passages would benefit from a visual, and generates an illustration for each. Pictures are described along three axes: a type (scene, infographic, flowchart, comparison, framework or timeline), a style drawn from around twenty options such as editorial, Notion-like, watercolour, chalkboard, pixel art or sketch notes, and a palette.
You run it as a slash command on a file and can pin any of the three axes with flags, or let it choose. Rendering is backend-agnostic: inside Codex it uses the native image tool, and elsewhere it routes through the collection’s image-generation skill, which supports OpenAI, Google and several other providers. It is part of Jim Liu’s widely used baoyu-skills collection and is often paired with the cover-image skill for blog and WeChat publishing.

Before you install: Outside Codex, an image API key in ~/.baoyu-skills/.env (for example OPENAI_API_KEY). Installing the plugin adds the whole collection.
