About this skill
Algorithmic Art is Anthropic’s example skill for generative art made with p5.js. As with its sibling Canvas Design, the agent begins by writing a short “algorithmic philosophy” that states the idea behind the piece, then implements it as code — flow fields, particle systems, noise fields and similar techniques.
Randomness is seeded, so a result you like can be reproduced exactly, and the skill wraps the sketch in an interactive HTML viewer for exploring its parameters and seeds. Outputs are a Markdown file, an HTML page and a JavaScript file built from bundled templates. No image model is involved: every pixel comes from code the agent writes, which makes this a good starting point for wallpapers, abstract prints and animated backgrounds.
